The TKO600 has jammed up in 4th gear,
needs to be pulled and repaired....
The new TKO 600 tranny I installed recently
has been hard shifting, and I just thought
it was because it was new, and needed to
break in a bit to loosen up, but that hasn't happened,
if anything it has gotten worse, it's like the synchros
are hanging up and won't slide into place....
On a recent road trip around Maui,
as I was heading back home, taking off
from a stop light, when I hit 4th I felt the
shift lever move in a strange direction,
tried to down shift to 3rd, Nope, No
Can Do !!!
It was locked up in 4th and would not move,
but by carefully slipping the clutch I was able to
make it back to my shop and park it ok,
I gotta wonder what that clutch is gonna
look like, it's a heavy duty dual disk setup....
I need to pull the front bench seat out, as
the shifter cover goes back under the seat
and I need to rremove the screws under there....
